Certificates ensure encrypted and secure authentication when connecting to the Eduroam network.
Two certificates need to be installed – one user certificate and one root certificate.
Once installed, you will connect to the network automatically without needing to enter your password repeatedly.
Yes. Due to repeated login attempts with an expired certificate, your account may be blocked by the RADIUS server.
You can prevent this by always removing the old certificate after installing a new one.
Having multiple certificates installed on your device at the same time can cause connection issues.
Check that you have only one valid certificate installed and remove the old one.
Instructions can be found here: Removing a certificate in Czech language
Access via the PEAP method, known as eduroam-peap, is granted manually by network administrators. This option is only made available if your device does not support certificates (e.g. Windows Phone).
To be granted access, please contact us at helpdesk.mendelu.cz.
The installation guide can be found here: Guide for eduroam-PEAP .
